Income Desparity in the workplace

Pay Gap?
Why is it that men ar paid more than women?

In the workplace, you have a men and women that have same position, but why is it that women are paid less?

As, women, we continue to struggle everyday at everything we do. Yes, I mean we! Especially tying to earn the same right in different areas such as work, voting, and education. There are studies and research that show the pay difference for men and women has decreased, but still exist in the workplace. Trying to research salaries can be hard, because it kept Top Secret. This is hard to find out but can only determined by interviews , but this at times can not be a reliable source.

Currently, Gender Pay Gap is an issue that is being discussed in the White House. Women issues have received alot of attention. If the gap were to close, women would get paid the difference and would help with stimulus growth in the world. However, there are sometimes limitations to pay, due to the background of education, skills, and knowledge.

However, after doing reasearch, there are more deparity in the fields in which women make up the largest workforce.

Clothing in Transition

As women, we transition with the fashion world. Starting from the 1700's until now. Women's clothing has a success story for every women in the world.

Women's clothing has an affect on the gender world. Women are unfortunately judged by their clothing, especially a women in leadership. Women wearing pants seemed to be unacceptable or un professional to wear.

Women were only suppose to wear dresses only.....Remember....Amela Earhart. During the great depression, her fashion was definitely different from you everday dress and pearls back then. She kept the pearls, but left the dress for a pair of pants! She would incorporate her love for aviation in her fashion line which was reasonable for women to purchase.

So men war the pants and bring home the bacon...not so sure.....

As you can see how pants evolved.

Women's roles in their families - Matriarchal

Women's role in their families

Across the world, women are siginficant in their families. They could be the breadwinner, wife, matriarch, daughter, or mother. Familes have structured from patriartical to matriarchal.

Women are becoming more matriarchal, due to having a single mother. Women's roles have significantly changed from being a house wife to a working mother raising a family on her own. There are societies all over the world that have matriarchal societies. The principal of matrilineality  kinship is acknowledged exclusively in famales.

When buidling a family in this economy, women work along with the men. Times are slightly different than back then where men only worked, but women stayed home and took care of the home and children.

To be honest, I have seen more single family homes with women being head of the household. At one point, my mother was the head of the household. As women, we are strong, loving, and nuturing.

Do women make better leaders?

When you think of a leader, does a picture in your mind show a female or a male? Are there more than women at your workplace then men or vice versa?
A leader is someone who takes the initiative and "makes it happen" for the team. Women have definitely established a path of greatness and continue by proving our abilities or being a leader.

Women stay strong as men and hold on to the core values of life. Has there ever been a time that as a women you have felt less than a women because of a man you worked with or the general example you see from men? I always think to myself "to be above the rest", but at times I feel as though I must better than any man. As women in leadership wse must continue to empower each other and help each other in every way.

Women working in Wars

During WWI and WW2 women worked in domestic service. They were called on called on by necessity to do work and to take on role outside of their traditional gender expectations. They took jobs that were traditionally "mens" jobs.

Most Powerful Women in Business are presidents, CFO, and/or charimen of the following companies: IBM, Pepsico, HP, Kraft, Dupoint, ADM, Xerox, Facebook, Oracle,OWN.

Now this makes WOMEN strong leaders
